Hey there!

My name is Becky, and I’m delighted to welcome you to the Vixen’s Den Studio!

I need to warn you upfront: I’m in love with all of the shiny things. Even my favorite water has sparkles!

But furnishing a home with beautiful, high-quality furniture that reflects my sparkling personality is jaw-droppingly expensive. That’s why over 15 years ago I started updating the furniture in our home.

I dove head first into stripping my husband’s childhood dresser with no previous training and a limited amount of space to work in. I had to drag the dresser out onto the little porch of our storage building and then push it back inside to let it dry overnight.

It was an adventure…or should I say, a misadventure!

Since that first piece, I have repaired, sanded, painted, stained, and completely reimagined several pieces of furniture as well as my personal studio, The Vixen’s Den She-Shed. I’ve learned so much from each new project.

Join me on my DIY misadventures as I help you reimagine your hand-me-downs, garage sale finds, or just tired and outdated pieces. We’ll explore lots of different tools and techniques to help you transform the furniture you have into the furniture you’ll love!

Just a few of my favorite things…

“There’s no such thing as “can’t”…

~ my grandmother

I “can’t” tell you exactly how many times I heard that reminder as I was growing up, but I know it was a LOT!

She was right, though.

If you’re willing to invest a little time and develop some new skills, then there’s no end to what you can accomplish. Don’t let fear of making a mistake hold you back from creating a home that you love.

Grab your favorite sparkly beverage and let the misadventures begin!
